Streamer Spotlight: RepTheBoro

Attorney by Day – Streamer by Night
A work day comes to a close. The final emails are checked, files stored away, and the last phone calls are made. A Larry June filled car ride home ends one day and begins another. Christian Hairston Esq. now transitions into RepTheBoro. RepTheBoro is one of the FIFA content creators to keep an eye on this year in FIFA 23.
A man whose love for this game dates back to when he scored his first goal on FIFA 12. He has since then turned that passion for the game and the sport into content and passion that he can share with others in the FIFA community.
Now is the time to deep dive, further, and learn more about RepTheBoro as a person as we get closer to what could potentially be a breakout year for himself within the FIFA content creation space.

Where It Began
Rep’s love for FIFA and futbol as a whole is second to none. His other passions include the NBA, Premier League, and all genres of music with a special love for Rap and R&B.
A lot of the questions I had ready to ask, I honestly thought I already knew the answers to. I was asking them more as more of a formality than to get an actual answer. To my surprise, I learned new things about a longtime friend.
What is the first FIFA you played?
” FIFA 12 “
When did you know you loved FIFA?
“When I was more interested in playing with my girlfriend at the time’s brother when I came over to the house instead of hanging out with my girlfriend.”
If any of you have heard him speak, then I know this is equally as hilarious to you as it was to me – to receive this answer (It didn’t surprise me one bit).
When did you start watching the premier league?
“I started watching the Prem in 2011, around the same time I picked up playing FIFA.”
How did you become a Tottenham Hotspur fan?
“When I started playing FIFA, the house rule was that you couldn’t use a “5-star” team. I was looking for a team with 4.5 stars, and I found the Spurs. They had 2 of the fastest guys on the game (Bale and Lennon), and I used to just bomb down the wings with them. Soon, I found myself looking for their matches every week on TV. Seeing Bale play on TV is what turned me into a lifelong football fan.”

Every legend or hero has an iconic awakening or moment they begin to become who they are. This story makes so much sense for Rep.
He was and is the only person I met in college that genuinely loved another sport more than the one he was at school to play (It is wild to me even now!). We could take a 5-hour bus ride home back from a game. Get to our apartment at 1 AM, not get to sleep until 2, and would be awake at 6:45 AM ready to watch Spurs play at 7 AM with little to no rest. I can attest to the unreal fandom firsthand, it is not a joke!

When did you start playing ultimate team and what got you hooked?
“I started ultimate team during FIFA 15. I was hooked when I packed Cristiano Ronaldo in a random Daily SBC. After that, I threw all my players into Squad Building Challenges thinking I would pack other good cards. LOL”
When did you start streaming?
“I started streaming in FIFA 19. Coming up on year 5 now!”
For the Love of The Game

What do you enjoy the most about playing?
“Probably skilling. The game doesn’t really reward buildup like it should in my opinion, but doing the right skill at the right time can really open things up for you.”
Favorite player all time?
“Gareth Bale! He’s the reason I fell in love with watching football!’
Which current Hotspur player would you like to meet?
“It would have to be Harry Kane. One of the best players in the world.”

Federation Internationale de Football Association
(FIFA)
What would you add to FIFA?
“Fifa could really use a connected franchise mode! Players could pick a league and have a dedicated user for each and every one of them. Playing games to try to win the league!”
Hopes for where FIFA can go?
“This is the last year with the current game engine, so I do have high hopes for FIFA, but we’ll have to wait until next 2023. This year’s game will likely be more of the same.”
With any love or passion, there is a community of people that share in it the same way.
From the outside looking in, FIFA has one of the most diverse, unique, and passionate communities not just for the game but for the sport of futbol.
It is absolutely insane to see, and it is a community that we are watching Rep grow and thrive in and build very special relationships that mean more than a game.

Best thing about the FIFA community?
“I personally enjoy the banter will all the other members of the community regarding the teams they support. I’m currently having the most fun cracking jokes about Manchester United.
What is that you want your audience to gain from tuning in to your stream/content?
“People who watch me just come to chill and kick it. So I want my audience to just come in and know that they’ll have a good time.”
The FIFA 23 lifecycle is going full force and this is only a glimpse into the streamer and man that is RepTheBoro. He is someone that loves the game, the sport, and his community.
I’m blessed to call him a friend and I appreciate anyone who took the time to read this. Stay tuned and keep an eye out on what is sure to be a phenomenal year of FIFA for Christian Hairston Esq. aka Rep The Boro.
